Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Man Dies While Spitting Gutkha – A tragic incident occurred in Kanpur when a 65-year-old man lost his life while attempting to spit gutkha from a moving bus. The victim, identified as Ram Jiyawan, was traveling on a bus from Lucknow to Azamgarh when the unfortunate accident took place.
According to the bus driver, Ram Jiyawan was chewing tobacco and decided to open the door to spit it out. As the bus was in motion, the elderly man lost his balance while leaning out of the door and fell onto the road. Despite immediate efforts by the driver and other passengers to help, the man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The bus was reportedly moving at a moderate speed when the incident occurred, and passengers who witnessed the event described it as extremely shocking. Some passengers tried to alert the driver immediately, while others rushed to help the victim. Despite their best efforts, Ram Jiyawan could not be saved.

Ram Jiyawan’s family, was deeply shaken by the news. His son and daughter-in-law, both serve in police department as police constables. family expressed no desire for further investigation into the incident. However, the police has to follow certain SoP and have still registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
SHO Dheeraj Kumar, who is handling the case, stated that initial investigations suggest the incident was a result of an accident. “Prima facie, it looks like an accidental death,” said Kumar, adding that the police were following all procedures in their investigation.
The authorities have already taken statements from passengers who were traveling on the bus at the time of the accident. Many of them recalled the incident in detail, stating that the victim had been sitting near the bus door and was chewing tobacco during the journey. He then opened the door to spit but tragically lost his live.
